The trance called "Life"

For the larger part of my life that I've lived till now, I failed to realize the importance of external agents in the carving of my destiny. Be it giving a shot at a dramatics performance or be it giving an attempt at a coveted medical entrance examination, my estimates on the futility or adept of the conditions were always wrong. When I expected myself to fail, I succeeded and whenever I anticipated seeing myself grabbing a reward, I was mocked and vanquished. And when I tried to analyze why it didn't go the way it should have gone, I always had one answer to attribute this to. The answer was I missed out on counting the influence which my own life had to play on itself.

Yes, life indeed is a self controlling phenomenon, something that the antics would never believe in but something that affirms of its presence and validity, again and again. Our failures, as we see them, may not be failures at all in the eyes of our life. Perhaps the only purpose which our lives sort to, is to make us meet our destinies. Life, as ripe as it is, still lacks the prowess and pervasiveness that it takes to influence our universe in larger and more visible ways. So it chooses to make others influence ours instead of just letting the, regain control on theirs.

That's how it all works. When we move ahead as a premature civilization or even as a full fledged society, the more inherently we imbibe ourselves in the system, the more we allow it to influence us. The system directly influences just a part of us, but the actors of the system have a big role to play in our lives. For us to consider ourselves as a one man army, as an agent of change, it may not devour the history, but its certainly not a very likely thing to happen. For your life transfers control of itself in hands of those who are in position to either control it directly or to influence it in those umpteen indirect ways. With your boss changing your life's schedules to the success of your role model changing the course of your life, the agents of change have acted before you could know and the agents of change did not include you.

For you being a mere prospect whose own life is not under his/her own control for the substantial part of your life, what else to expect than a morbid state of affairs. But that is not to be. You may still have some control over your life and at least from a surface point of view its pretty much evident. But much of your impact comes from the way in which you can induce changes or transformations in some other person as an individual or a society as a whole. This is the real gateway for you to leave your mark. The chances you had to change your own life may not impact a lot but for yourself. But the chances you get to change the world, ought to be grabbed with open arms.

Ever wondered why some men seem so enigmatic and so futuristic that they seem to have come from a different planet or some different timeline. The reason is their capability to map their own lives with the lives of others. And in a never ending attempt of whimsical yet multitudinous efforts, they are ultimately able to join the dots and plot the graph which would later on turn out to be a solution not only for their own problems but for the problems of the world. They use life not just as a means of living it but as a means for bringing a change so powerful and so everlasting that the lives of others couldn't help but to feel and implement these changes in themselves.

All in all, it was life that turns out to be the real winner and not you. But life never complains in you getting to take all of the credit because life needs no credit, it just needs a setting to manifest itself and its powers. And for yours having provided it with that environment, life welcomes you like it never did before. Life just waits for you to let it in and when you do that, it has its own barrage of mysteries, coincidences, tales, love, emotions and events that last for more than you. Irrespective of how big you make it, your life always stands bigger and taller than you. You may say that you changed your life but you actually helped it in going the way it should have. Any change you perceive as being a change, was not a change but just another milestone that life needed to confirm its progress. For it being so mystical and so everlasting, it would be foolish if we let it take the mawkish root and not allow it to flourish by letting it continue on its route of bloom and blushes. Life indeed is the most spectacular thing you're ever likely to come across in your lives. Its special, its freakish but its still adorable and miraculous. Let it grow and let it bloom. And just enjoy the performance of a trance called "Life".

Can you see it coming ?

With a dismantled governance, a shattered faith, and a succumbed conscience, the present UPA 2 continues to approach towards its destiny with a final artillery of resilience and perhaps a final display of severity. They say every country witnesses phases, some good some bad. Some say what we had till now was good whereas some say what we had till now was bad. Irrespective of what can be said about what we had till now, what we'll have in the far future depends upon how we react in the near future. As this govt makes certain futile attempts to strengthen its shaky stronghold on urban masses and as the opposition makes a rather unstructured attempt to nip the time and get into power, we have a third front which is emerging out of its ashes from 98' and making its present felt via a barrage of powerful politicos who have the money as well as the will to entice people and capitalize on their apathy.

With the political scenario rattling under its own crevices, its hard to say what future holds for us but one thing is for sure, if everyone proves their might, our end is very well near. People are frustrated and are just at the bounds of setting themselves free from this anarchy. Corruption, disregard for sections, lack of responsibility and failure to control prices has resulted in a mass of people who are just at the verge of exploding themselves to get a better life. But for us being Indians, we are habitual of taking things for granted.
We know we can let those bullies down but we won't do that because we will like to wait for the next elections and try to get things done in the so-called "peaceful" way. But the question is, if  you're not going to commit the same helluva mistake again.

You may get yourself in the mindset of not letting UPA regain power but when the same UPA entices you with further reservations, free mobile phones, and a promise to get your men up in the hierarchy, you will be more than obliged to vote for them, no matter how many times in the past they denied you the same after promising. Albeit unlikely, you may very well get them into power. Or you may even open your hearts to the third front and decide making a useless sack of leaders into the power holders. Once you do that, either they'll die fighting for the post of the PM or you will die as a penance to the mistake you committed.

Even giving all the authority to the opposition wont be that good an idea. Though they seem more logical and sensible at this point of time, you never know what incognito identity they have to show us. The only thing we'd have to do to save our asses is to at least root out the UPA , at least for the moment. Not just root them out but to ensure that it causes an almost irreparable blow to their arrogance. But we also have to ensure that the opposition does have a viable opposition to bear with. The reason why we have any hope right now is that we have at least a opposition that can fight. If we empower the current opposition without making someone else get to do the role which they do now, the system might get chaotic again.

Although we may get a better governance, the nation will take a lot of time to get back on track.  Our dream of becoming a superpower in 2020 seems a distant one for now. We're a overcrowded nation with people who are dying for the basic amenities. We are going aback on the economical scale, we're surrounded by challenges of all sorts and we're more or less doomed, given our present condition. If the govt doesn't change, our end is near as I explained.People will come on the streets, take control and do all it takes to either die or to win.If the third front arises, both voters and non-voters would be committing suicides, take it from me.So in these cases, our end may very well be near. We're in a heavy crunch of resources with people who spend more time in traffic jams than with families, with people who earn but still cant earn as much as the inflation demands them to, people who see political honchos stealing their taxes and making mansions but people being deprived of their 2bhks on defaulting on a single installment.

Question is where are we heading and where would we go. who is to blame? We, of course. Did we fail to recognize our rights, or did we get deceived by the innocence of a bunch of beasts from Italy ? What was the independence for when even after the independence, the real heroes were forgotten as they did not bear that surname and the ones who did, irrespective of the fact that they did not even inherit it, continue to stay in power and dominate ? The question is can you see it coming ? Our end ! And the question is, would you do what it takes to avoid it ? Will you save the nation that was freed after a struggle of a mammoth time of 2 centuries. Would you do what you're supposed to do ? The nation needs you, and it needs you badly. will you stay with it ?
